Why can't I
view multi-page
faxes?
All your fax mail messages are delivered in a file extension that is called
TIF/ TIFF--Tagged Image File Format. In order to view this from your
email inbox you must first download a program that supports these documents. We
suggest the programs IRFanview or AlternaTIFF. We suggest one of the FREE
programs below:
IRfanview or
AlternaTIFF If you
still have difficulty, you may need to set your computer up to
'associate' with the program as the default TIFF reader.
The following operating systems (Windows XP, 2000, ME) can do the following:
- Click on the START Button
- Select RUN
- Enter explorer.exe
- Select Tools from your tool bar
- Select Folder Options
- Click on the Folder Types tab
- Highlight TIF in the Registered File Types portion
of the screen
- Details for TIF extension should be one of the
following: Microsoft Office Document Imaging,
Windows Picture & Fax Viewer, IRfanview, or
AlternaTIFF.
IF NOT
- Select Change and the appropriate file type for
your viewer.
